We need to learn some nursery rhymes
John: Do you know any nursery rhymes?
Me: What about the fat guy who falls off the wall and breaks in half.
John: Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
Me: All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again.
Me: Wait, I thought they DID put him together again.
John: Did they just leave him?
John: How does it end?
John: That’s not a very nice nursery rhyme.
Haha! No, most of those nursery rhymes are not nice. Even games like ‘ring around the rosie’ has it’s origins in the Black Plaque.
My husband doesn’t really know any nursery rhymes but he would sing rock songs (softly) to our boys when they were babies. They loved it.
