I declare school vacation.
This week has been a bust and I know that with all the kitchen/laundry room repairs we’re not going to get anything productive done until it’s finished anyway.
So June = summer vacation.
Side note: we generally school year round, because we take off a week here and there when we need it for mini vacations. We’re more relaxed in the summer anyway, mostly hands on/out doors...

Homeowners insurance is picking up the tab on a kitchen remodel.
New cabinets (staining/painting the others to match), counter, backsplash, painting all the walls. Everything our choice. New baseboards. We might replace the sink while we’re at it.
Right now: things are not pretty. But I’m feeling better about the whole mess.

The person I’m on hold with is on hold with someone else.
Well nevermind.
I didn’t realize Michael had taken my truck until we were walking out the door and I noticed the keys were gone.
Frack.
So boys are playing outside and hey, I’m on the phone about the homeowners insurance claim. Whoo to the hoo.
Boys were invited to go with friends to tour the local fire station and get into the trucks this morning. :)
Third time we’ll be doing it but it’ll never lose the excitement.

Completely clean kitchen and laundry room. (Dry wall dust is everywhere.)
Three loads of laundry. (First is currently in the washer.)
Make up school work from Monday/Tuesday.
Pet store run.
Quiet reading.
Finish crochet cupcake and mail to my birthday twin.
Do not lose mind.
I think I shall do an intro post in the morning. I haven’t done one in a while and they are always fun.

It really is hot as balls outside.
Did you know that the testicles hang down away from the body because sperm will start to deform/die if too warm? Same reason why the scrotum will suck up when it’s cold. Sperm are picky motherfuckers about the temperature. Fun fact there for ya.

Leak is fixed. Damn little copper pipe.
The wood seems okay, just needs to dry out. We’ll be replacing dry wall but that’s easy and insurance will help cover costs.
Also, drama has been averted as best as possible.
I’m feeling pretty darn good at the moment.
